Tubular Cali Burger [California Burrito Burger]

Tubular Cali Burger

INGREDIENTS:

-1 Ozo Burger Patty

-1 Burger Bun

-¼ tsp Cumin

-¼ tsp Garlic Powder

-¼ tsp Chili Powder

-1 peeled Potato

-½ Tbsp Avocado Oil

-1 tsp Smoked Paprika

-½ tsp Salt

-2 Tbsp Salsa Fresca

-1 ½ Tbsp Sour Cream

-½ Avocado sliced

-2 Tbsp Guacamole

-1 ½ Tbsp Chipotle Bitchin’ Sauce or Chipotle Mayo

-1 slice American Cheese

-½ Tbsp chopped Cilantro leaves

-1 tsp your favorite Hot Sauce

[makes 1 burger]

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fries: Heat oven to 425 F. Slice peeled potato into ¼ inch thick slices and toss with Avocado Oil, Smoked Paprika and Salt. Place them in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cook them in the oven for 10 minutes, then flip them over. Finish baking for 5-7 minutes or until they reach your desired crispness. Let fries cool slightly before placing inside your burger.

Patty: In a small or medium sauté pan, add a splash of your desired cooking oil and heat over low-medium. Sprinkle Cumin, Garlic Powder and Chili Powder over both sides of the burger and lightly press in before placing the patty on the warm sauté pan. Cook burger patty on one side until it has deeply browned. Flip and cook until both sides are even. You don’t want to cook these too fast, as you want the outside to caramelize and the inside to cook through, so take your time. Once the patty is ready, turn off the burner and place the slice of American cheese on top. Cover the pan with a lid until the cheese has melted to the top of the patty.

Plating: Take your Burger Bun and place it in an empty sauté pan with a little oil on low heat to toast the insides of the bun. Put the bottom half of the burger bun on a plate and spread the Chipotle Bitchin’ sauce or Chipotle Mayo on top. For the next layer place the warm patty with melted cheese on top. Then lay your Avocado slices and layer with some Guacamole. Next is the seasoned fries, which you can get a couple layers of if you place them carefully. Then the Salsa Fresca with some fresh Cilantro leaves mixed in. Drizzle some of your favorite hot sauce on top if you wish. Finally, take your top bun and spread it with the Sour Cream and place it on top of your towering burger creation. This one may need a toothpick to hold everything together while you indulge!
